A few years ago I had this wild idea: to re-record all my albums dawlessly — no computers, no edits, just pure live improvisation performed on the fly and captured straight to multitrack. Voyager is the 33rd album I’ve created this way, and it’s one of the most ambitious yet.
This double album is a synth exploration inspired by the great journeys of Apollo and Voyager — the discoveries, the mysteries of the cosmos, the marvels of technology, and the endless sense of wonder that space still gives us.
I performed it with Moog One, Prophet-10, Moog Matriarch, three Moog Mavis synths, Buchla modules, Elektron Digitakt, and more — all running through a constellation of pedals from Strymon, Meris, Hologram, Earthquaker, Walrus, and others. The result is expansive, alive, and unpredictable, with sounds shifting and evolving like distant galaxies in motion.
Voyager is both a tribute to exploration and a soundtrack for your own inner journeys.
