Tangerine Tapes from Berlin School Vol. 1 is an experimental album that explores the sonic possibilities of the classic Berlin School electronic music style. Produced entirely using a modular System 55 synthesizer, the album features intricate arpeggios and evolving sequences, all interwoven into a rich tapestry of sound.
To capture the warm and organic sound of the vintage synthesizer, the album was recorded directly onto analog tape. This added an extra layer of depth and warmth to the already rich and complex soundscapes. To further enhance the textural qualities of the music, a variety of guitar pedals were used to create ambient effects.
The resulting album is a mesmerizing journey through the intricate and otherworldly soundscapes of the Berlin School, brought to life through the unique combination of analog synthesis, tape recording, and ambient guitar effects.
