Sunlight is my 20th album exploring ambient, hypnotic electronica and the Berlin School tradition. Like much of my recent work, it was created fully improvised and “dawless” — no computer grids, no digital editing, just hands on instruments and sound unfolding in the moment.
Instead of a DAW, I built this music directly with hardware synthesizers, modular gear, and effects. It’s a tactile way of creating — twisting knobs, patching cables, and responding instantly to what the machines give back. That real-time interaction shapes the sound into something alive, imperfect, and unique.
For me, Sunlight is about capturing immediacy and warmth, turning pure analog energy into drifting patterns and hypnotic textures. It’s music for reflection, for focus, or simply for enjoying the light of sound itself.
