Colorfield drifts into a softer world, part ambient, part slow psychedelic rock. Shaped entirely on my synthesizers and played in long, evolving movements.
This album begins with Longwave, a quiet swell of analog tones and textures that open the door into the rest of the journey. From there, Phasewalk, Ambientuum, and Passages wander through shifting color-gradients of sound - tape-warmed sequences, slow guitar echoes, drifting harmonies that keep unfolding the longer you stay with them.
The title piece, Colorfield, grew out of the last session for the album, where the room felt suspended in a wash of glowing hues making me wishing to end this album on a pleasant positive note. It’s the emotional center of the album - a place where everything dissolves into light, shadow, and calm.
Musically, I wanted to create something you could live inside for a while - music for deep focus, late drives, evening walks, or simply breathing a little slower at the end of the day.
All hand-played. Mostly analog. All shaped with care.
I hope Colorfield brings you a bit of warmth and space whenever you need it.
