52 expressive reverb designs for ValhallaVintageVerb, supplied as 104 presets in Insert and Send versions. Warm chambers, rounded plates, breathing halls, and drifting spaces for Berlin-school sequences, synthesizers, piano-style keys, and guitars.

CIJ Valhalla VintageVerb Presets Collection was created to give a phrase a sense of place. A small pluck gains a close, intimate halo; electric keys open into a warm chamber; a slow melody unfolds through a wide, cinematic hall. Each space is shaped to work with the notes and the pauses between them.

Vintage character, from close to expansive

The collection explores all 22 VintageVerb algorithms, from compact rooms and smooth plates to deep halls, animated spaces, and a few gated or reverse-shaped effects. Most presets favor the character of the 1970s and 1980s color modes, with a smaller selection using Now for clearer piano reflections and open, detailed spaces.

Decay, predelay, diffusion, damping, and modulation are chosen individually for each design. Some sounds sit tightly around a repeating sequence; others bloom gradually behind sustained notes. Controlled low-frequency decay and tailored filtering help keep the original instrument present, even in the longer spaces.

Designed for musical space

Use the shorter rooms and chambers to give arps and repeating patterns depth without obscuring their pulse. Try the plates on keys, plucks, and guitar lines, or let the larger halls and evolving spaces carry slower phrases into ambient and cinematic territory. Preset names suggest their color and imagined space, and the included preset list describes every design.

Sound examples

The playlist features 13 hand-picked examples. Short MIDI performances on dry Diva plucks, keys, and piano-style sounds demonstrate the reverb's tone, depth, and movement. Diva's built-in effects are disabled: the reverb comes from VintageVerb, with no delay layered into the source. Playback gain and brief fades are applied. Only Insert versions are demonstrated; matching Send versions are included in the download.

Installation and use

Extract the ZIP and copy the two included folders directly into ValhallaVintageVerb's User preset folder. Open the plugin's own preset browser and look under USER PRESETS. The download includes full macOS and Windows paths and step-by-step instructions, including how to find the active preset folder if your installation differs.

Choose an Insert on an instrument or audio track, or a Send on an auxiliary return. Adjust Mix or the send level to fit the arrangement. Predelay is stored in milliseconds. Leave space between phrases when exploring the longer reverbs so you can hear their tails unfold.

Requirements

Requires ValhallaVintageVerb, purchased separately. Version 4.0.5 or later is recommended to match the version used to prepare the collection. Native presets are provided for macOS and Windows and were prepared and checked on macOS. This is a preset collection, not the plugin or a sample library.
