CIJ Valhalla Delay Presets Collection

50 expressive delay designs for ValhallaDelay, supplied as 100 presets in Insert and Send versions. Warm tape echoes, drifting analog repeats, and interlocking multi-head rhythms for Berlin-school sequences, synthesizers, keys, and guitars.

CIJ Valhalla Delay was created to make the repeats part of the performance. A short mono phrase becomes a moving stereo pattern; a piano note gains a worn, glowing trail; a guitar line finds a second voice in the spaces between the notes.

Analog character, musical movement

Tape, ChromeTape, BBD, and Analog modes form the heart of the collection. Drive, age, filtering, modulation, and flutter give each sound its own character—from rounded, dark echoes to brighter repeats with gentle grit. Dotted and triplet timings, ping-pong movement, dual delays, and multi-head patterns keep repeating phrases alive.

Most sounds keep the pulse clear and distinct. A smaller selection opens into diffuse, atmospheric tails for spacious leads and cinematic passages. The result is a collection that moves between focused sequence support and more expansive sound design.

Each matching Insert/Send pair differs only in Mix. Both folders are included in one download.

Sound examples

The playlist features 12 hand-picked examples from the collection. Short MIDI performances on dry Diva plucks, keys, and piano-style sounds let you hear the delay's rhythm, color, and movement. Diva's built-in effects are disabled: the echoes, saturation, and space come from ValhallaDelay. Playback gain and brief fades are applied. Only Insert versions are demonstrated; matching Send versions are included in the download.

Installation and use

Extract the ZIP and copy the two included folders into ValhallaDelay's User preset folder. Open the plugin's own preset browser and look under USER PRESETS. The download includes full Mac and Windows paths and step-by-step instructions. Set your project tempo, play a phrase with a little space between notes, and adjust Mix or your send level to fit the track.

Requirements

Requires ValhallaDelay, purchased separately. Version 3.0.5 or later is recommended to match the version used to prepare the collection. Presets are provided for macOS and Windows and were prepared and checked on macOS. This is a preset collection, not the plugin or a sample library.
